Here we see the Brazen Altar and Brazen Laver in the outer court of the Tabernacle. This life-sized replica is situated at Timna National Park in Israel.

Key Verse: Exodus 26:30

And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.

The Tabernacle was the place in which God was present in a special way. We, the believers, are now His special dwelling place on earth. The Apostle Paul quotes the Hebrew Scriptures to drive home this point (2 Corinthians 6:16). God gave an exact design for the Tabernacle with precise measurements, using specific materials. For example, He gave such attention to detail in the instructions for making and hanging the curtains. The veil which separated the Holy of Holies from the rest of the Tabernacle shows us that we are separated from God. Remember that when Jesus died, the veil was torn from top to bottom so that there is no longer any separation for those that believe in Jesus (read Matthew 27:50-53).

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Dear Lord Jesus, please help me to be diligent to follow Your instructions for building my life. Thank You that I am Your modern-day tabernacle. I need to know Your plans for me, and I thank You for the grace and discipline to read and follow Your instructions most carefully. In Your Name I pray, Lord Jesus. Amen!

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

From the time our son Ron was six or seven, he was the designated instruction reader in our family when something arrived that needed assembling. Come to think of it, he is the first one to read my daily blogs too before they are posted for you, the reader. I’ve received much practical help from Ron and his wife Ann. I’m embarrased to tell you that I complain while I’m up on the step stool trying to hang a picture right while Norma-Jean is giving the instructions. I’m even more embarrased to confess to you that I have often complained to God about His instructions for the details of my life. Sorry, Lord!! I’ve asked God’s forgiveness in the past and I, no doubt, will do so in the future. Also, Norma-Jean, I’ve asked your forgivness in the past for complaining, and if we move again and I’m able to get up on that step stool, I’ll probably have to ask your forgiveness again. I love you!

Yours for following the instructions,

David

  1. “Though thou slay me I will trust,
Praise thee even from the dust,
Prove, and tell it as I prove,
    Thine unutterable love.
    Thou mayst chasten and correct,
    But thou never canst neglect;
Since the ransom price is paid,
On thy love my hope is stay’d.”

  2. Thank you for your continued prayers, saints. Yesterday was not a good day. Entering the building to the pool, I did not see the weight on the floor, meant to hold the door open, which for some reason was closed. My bad foot banged against it. I am very sore on many counts. God is telling me to rest, so I am, as I listen to the sound of rain. Praying for all saints. Amen.

    • Lord Jesus I pray for Your anointing oil to flood over Beverlee, healing her from all pain, as she rests in You, Thank You Jesus, Amen!

  3. Oh Beverlee, I’m sorry you are going through this. It is good that you will rest up. I do hope that the pain from you tooth has subsided. Ontario to be warm again & rainy days are in our future. I will try to get my first test today. The answering centre said they didn’t get the doctor’s requisition but the secretary said it was sent!? Anyway, I pray that the Lord will open the doors for me. In Jesus Name, I pray for Beverley, Ger, & myself. Thank You 🙏 Lord. Amen

  4. Praying for all of you. Beverlee, it does seem that sometimes he needs to get our attention to rest and take care of ourselves.
I would also like to add a prayer request. For Family friends of ours in Fargo ND
One of the son owned a house and rented out the basement to a young man. He started to drink/drugs and was coming often arriving home in an abusive mood. He was asked to leave as the owner wanted to protect his family. However, instead that man chose to ambush the owner in his own yard and beat him with a brick and leave him there. He is in hospital with severe head injuries and does not seem to be responding. I pray that it is not this young man’s time and that the Lord will provide full recovery for him.

    • Very disturbed to read this message and praying for this young man in hospital who you know in Fargo, ND. My sense is that he is going to pull through this and will overcome. A coma is needed for the brain to rest and swelling to subside. We lift this man up to You, our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and to the sanctity of the Holy Spirit. Place Your Hand upon him and breathe the breath of life through him that he needs. May he be nourished with complete healing. Bring hope and comfort to his family by giving them a sign, Lord God. We believe in miracles and pray for this young man to be a miracle, now. Prayers also for his family, that their fears melt away and for their rest. In these times of trouble, Lord God, we lean on You. In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen.

Lord God, we also ask that police find the tenant responsible for this crime and get him the mental health treatment he needs but also that he is held accountable for the harm he has caused. These are the stories that are the most heartbreaking. Out of the kindness of his heart to offer his home to someone in need, a young man’s life and that of his family has been changed. But we know God is in control and will work things out for His higher purpose. They may not see it now but down the road, surely, they will.

    • Oh yes. Praying for that man – that he will regain everything lost during this attack. May God touch him mightily and his body gain strength & ability again. Give the medical people wisdom & patience. In Jesus Name. Amen

    • Dear Lord please take away the pain in Beverlee’s sore foot. I am so sorry that this had to happen to her, with all her other aches and pains. You are in control Lord so I leave her in your hands.
HJR: I am also praying for that young man, that the Lord would completely heal him. I also pray for strength for the family as they most be devastated.

Stay strong in the Lord everyone, He is our hope for a brighter future through all our trials and tribulations. 🙏🤗

  5. Good afternoon everyone! I know that it seems like I haven’t been on this blog for a long time. I have but did not comment. I am praying for everyone on this blog & especially for those who have asked for prayer.
I have a praise report. My cousin Eva in Chicago just found out that her cancer is in remission! Praise God! I thank you for your prayers for her. Her doctor was amazed because she only had chemotherapy twice & had to stop because she was allergic to it. Praise God again!

  6. Dear Lord God, thank You for the care You show in this, Your creation. For sure this universe is intelligently designed and sustained. You said, dear Lord, that in this world we would have trouble, trouble that You yourself shared in. But You also said to take heart because You are in this with us, and You overcame all the trouble. Lord God, help Beverlee and the family with the broken head, as well as all those who are going through difficult times in this broken world. Help them, sustain them, and build them up in You. We also pray for Your will to be done throughout this world, in Jesus’s always-caring name, amen

  7. Thank you saints for your prayers. Much appreciated as I continue to heed His call to rest off my feet. God bless you all. 🙇‍♀️

    • I am so sorry that you’ve been experiencing such pain and discomfort, Beverlee. I have prayed that the Lord will touch you and give you the rest and comfort that you need, at this time.

I am also praying for the young man in Fargo. May the Lord heal him completely and encourage his family. I pray for protection from the person that attacked him, as well as, anyone else that might want to harm them.
May God be with you Ger, as you await the appointment for a colonoscopy .
      God bless you all! 🙏

  8. Amen to all calls for prayer above.
Beverlee you are covered with my prayers for healing.
HJR will pray for your request as well.

  9. Thank you for all your prayers for me. I am sorry Beverlee for your fall and injury and bow my head in prayer for a good and quick recovery for you. Also for the poor man in Fargo who suffered trauma undeservedly. May God heal and bless him for his goodness. The readings in Spurgeon and C. E. Cowman, “Streams in the Desert” today were about suffering. “There He proved them.”(Exodus 15:25) Thought of you saints! God bless you!
