“FOLLOW AFTER ME!” ~ JESUS

Today’s Reading: Matthew 10

Located in modern-day Nazareth, “Nazareth Village” re-enacts daily life from the time of Jesus, 2,000 years ago.

Key Verse: Matthew 10:38

And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

One thousand years before the crucifixion of Christ, King David, in Psalm 22, wrote, “They pierced my hands and my feet” (verse 16b). Crucifixion was unknown at that time. Yet at least 10 statements in that Psalm describe the sufferings of our Lord. Likewise, God knew in advance all about your journey bearing the cross. His provision of Grace for you is all you need for today. So whatever sacrifice you are called to make will be worth it. Joy will be yours. Hebrews 12:2 tells you of Jesus, “Who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross.” This is your “Journey into JOY!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Dear Lord Jesus, I am Your follower. Therefore, I have no alternative but to “Take up my cross.” I do so in obedience to You. Please grant me the grace not only to endure, but to enter into JOY! Amen!

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

A response from one of my blog participants was “How can I have a faith like yours?” I don’t claim great faith…childlike faith, yes! I’m convinced that the maximum and the minimum faith is simple OBEDIENCE. Last night and again this morning I made this confession, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). This confession has been my habit for years. I don’t plan to stop as long as I live.

In Christ’s Love and Service,

David

  3. Thank You, Father God, for the sanity of Your Word. You are truly our high tower, our place of refuge. You care for all Your people, and desire all to come, taste and see that You are good. Bless and anoint all Your workers for the work You have given each to do. As Paul prayed, may Your Word be proclaimed faithfully and clearly today. Saw Greg Musselman on the Miracle Network out of Lethbridge, AB. It was wonderful to see and listen to him telling us about what is going on in different parts of the world:

  5. Yes, we need to keep looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Glad you found your cell phone Beverlee. Would you please pray for me as I see my doctor tomorrow and I am going on 8 months past due date of every 5 years for a colonoscopy and it doesn’t look hopeful except God intervenes. Feeling the need for one right now. Thank you for your prayers in advance and God bless you.

    • Our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to the sanctity of the Holy Spirit, we pray to You for our sister Ger. Be with her and sustain her tomorrow, as she has her test. Jehovah Rapha, God of healing, Jehovah Nissi, God of protection and Jehovah Chatsahi, God of our strength, we call on you to be with Ger. Give her a sense of peace and comfort beyond all understanding. You need not worry, my child. In Jesus’ mighty Name, we pray. Amen, amen, and amen.

  6. Thank you dear Beverlee, Blessed and Teresa for your prayers and any others. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow and try to get him to arrange a test. Maybe I didn’t make that clear I am more hopeful now as I heard today that they are doing that test again. God bless all and keep you.

  7. I experienced an electrical shock on June 03, 2020, It would be greatly appreciated that the 100 Huntley family could lift prayers for healing for my hands, as the doctor I saw advised that I monitor the symptoms. Stiff fingers in both hands thus far. Have been using a soft ball to squeeze, prior to bedtime.
