Key Verse: Exodus 2:24
So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
Here we are in Exodus, the book of departure which starts with the word,”Now.” On July 23rd we completed Genesis with the key verse being God’s promise (Genesis 49:10), which was consistent with His promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Fast forward to “Now,” approximately 400 years later. Israel now numbers at least 2,000,000 people. “God remembered” does not infer that God forgot. Of course, He forgets nothing. It does highlight the timing of God. In His dealings with Israel and with us, there are unique times when God moves to bring about His will. Moses makes his appearance in God’s time. The enemy of God’s purposes tried to kill Moses in a sweeping decision to kill all the boy babies. That enemy did the same through King Herod to try to kill Jesus. Let us remember that God will fulfill His plan in His time regardless of the opposition.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father God, Thank You for Your timing in bringing about Your plan for Israel. You’ve made hundreds of promises recorded in Scripture which I can claim for my people and for me personally. I stand today on Jeremiah 29:11-13. You promised, “a future and a hope.” You promised, “then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” You give me such great encouragement. Thank You! I receive Your blessings and Your timing. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen!
100 PERSONAL WORDS:
In Exodus 2:23, the Children of Israel “cried out” to God. This was a groaning for God’s intervention. Because of my parents’ years as missionaries in the Middle East, Egypt in particular, and my first cousin’s former position at the University of Toronto as Head of Middle East Studies, I took great interest in the “Camp David Accords,” an agreement that was negotiated in 1978 and signed in 1979 by President Anwar Sadat of Egypt, Prime Minister Begin of Israel, and President Carter of the U.S.A. (see photo below). The first night that they were at Camp David, I could not sleep. Around midnight I began to cry out to God for His purposes to be fulfilled. I can only describe what happened to me as the most intense intercessory cry to God I had ever experienced. God answered my prayer and the prayers of many others. On the White House Lawn they announced that they (from three different religions) had prayed to the “God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,” and the rest is history. Sadat was assasinated, but by the grace of God I had the opportunity of sharing my experience of that night with both Begin and Carter…Begin at his home in Jerusalem and Carter on a “Habitat for Humanity” building site in Kitchener, Ontario. Sorry! I’m well over 100 words. I’m finding the commitment to keep to 100 words in each section a big challenge, but I’ll keep trying.
Yours to help us all to take God’s promises most seriously, because He remembers,
David
So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob (Exodus 2:24). God remembers, indeed! Amen! We fall on our knees and cry out to you, dear Lord. We lift it up to You–we cry for world peace. Let the fighting and hatred between nations in the Middle East come to an end. Let there be peace on earth, dear Lord, as there is in the heavens!
So happy to be in Exodus. The Words of the Bible are digging deeper into our bones. The history, tradition, wisdom, and knowledge of the Old Testament–the beginning of time when greatness was first recorded–how privileged are we to read learn and grasp the teachings God has bestowed upon us! Words cannot come close to describing the connection that is taking place between us and our Heavenly Father. Thank You, DEAR GOD! You are omnipresent, omnipotent. You are our Creator, Redeemer, Spirit and Breath of Life. Your Majesty blows us away!
Thank you David Mainse, and all the saints! Have a blessed day!

God never forgets!!!
I was having coffee Thursday with a friend, and we were talking about prayer. How much is enough? Pray without ceasing, I take to mean conversational, or short prayers like “Thank You Lord”, “Help me Lord”, “what should I do next” and prayers for others, situations, and circumstances we find ourselves in each day as we go about our daily chores. But is there an amount of time we should each spend in prayer each day?
My friend said something I never remember being reminded of before, and that is God never forgets, so even if we forget that we have prayed for someone in the past, and have forgotten, God never forgets and is always working on the fulfillment of the prayer, when it is prayed in accordance with His Will. And we know the salvation of others is His will.
I too am praying for my daughter, who made a commitment as a child, but I am not sure if she is saved or not. She is coming back to Ontario from Edmonton this Friday for good and will be with us until she gets a job etc., I would appreciate your prayers for me and for her, that she will recognize her need of Jesus as her Saviour and Lord.
Thank you all for this blog, I am not proficient on the computer and often want to comment but don’t know how to “reply”. But that too can change, Jane can teach me when she is here.
May God Bless and keep us all safe today. Mary
Father, I pray for Jane, Mary’s daughter that the commitment she made as a child will somehow be brought to her mind and she will experience a renewal of faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. I pray her time at home here will be one of joy spent with her family and I also pray for wisdom for Mary as she renews her relationship with Jane. Amen
Praying for you Mary, and for your precious daughter, Jane. Angels are with you watching over and protecting you. Call to Jesus and she will be looked after. He will lead her, nevr to fail her nor forsake her. May the mighty arms of Jesus, lift her up and protect her, and lead her on a new path home. May the fear be released and trust and faith be ignited. In Jesus’ precious name, amen, amen and amen!
What a wonderful picture of the three leaders. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem. So much hatred in the world these days but Our Saviour Jesus has overcome the world and as we continue in prayer, we know He never forgets.
His timing is always perfect and He is never late!!
Amazing how God protected Moses as He had a Great purpose in mind for his life and that of the Israelites. Blessings fellow saints. 100 or 1000 your words Pastor David are always appreciated.
Thank Heavenly Father for your faithfulness, in all my ways I can lean on you and not on my understanding, your promises are true and faithful and I can depend on them for me and my household. Thank for choosing me to be your child; thank you for loving me, thank you for your Son Jesus Christ. I pray this all in His Mighty Name, JESUS!!!
All Glory and Praise God on High!!! Whose ways are Higher than mine and His thoughts are Higher than, HIS WAYS ARE PERFECT!!!
Mary, I join prayer for your daughter Jane, for your renewing relationship as Mother and Daughter and friend. I too pray for an awaking of God’s love in Jane’s heart.

I thank GOD daily for you and your messages and for your “jaw dropping” recovery and I pray HE may continue to bless you and Norma jJean in every way.
You had a wonderful bicycle trip!!!! GOD was sooooo good to you!!!! I did drive a scooter regularity until I was in my seventies…..but what GOD allowed you to do again was “jaw dropping”.
I have read through the BIBLE several times , but this time, since I am using the audio I seem to be absorbing more and am loving every minute of it!
. I started using the audio due to the fact that my eyesight is failing.
I could go on and on, but for now I. shall just thank you and pray for your well beinq and praise GOD for giving you to us.
Yours in CHRIST
BLESSINGS
Thank you for your prayers for Jane and myself. Pray that I can testify to her in a way that she will listen.
I don’t want to become part of the problem, I want to be authentic, she has seen what others have done, and it has caused her great distress, she looks after young adults with special needs.
Now she has health issues caused by all the stress, not from her clients but by some staff members whom she feels take advantage of them.
But Our God is sovereign, and I believe He has allowed (not caused) things to happen to bring her back to Himself, and to her family here in Ontario, who are just about all Christians. Anyway, thank you for your prayers. God Bless you all. Mary
