Key Verse: Exodus 33:15

Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here…”

How did Moses know that God’s Presence was with him? First of all, God promised that “My Presence will go with you and give you rest” (31:14). Moses was so very human. God had just promised His Presence, and now Moses uses that little word “if.” God gives grace in spite of our unbelief. Secondly, God allows Moses to experience His Glory. The Word comes first and then the experience. All we really need is His Word. He says to us, “I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20). This is His promise to us at all times. He also says, “Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20).  We should not require more proof. Nevertheless, Jesus, with great emphasis promises He is “confirming His Word with accompanying signs. Amen” (Mark 16:20).

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

I praise and worship You, Lord God, for Your Presence. If You don’t go with me, I won’t go anywhere. I know according to Your Word that You are with me. Therefore, I will boldly move into this new day and into the rest of my life with excitement, knowing that You will work all things after the counsel of Your will (Ephesians 1:11).

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

I was waiting on God during a week of fasting and prayer about 14 years ago. I would show up in the Chapel very early each morning to petition God for His directions. Always I would think of Joshua, who was there with Moses every day in the tent of meeting. “…Joshua…did not depart from the tabernacle” (33:11). Joshua was there faithfully. It’s obvious why Joshua was to occupy a place of leadership.

Yours to help us all to know God’s will through His Word,

David

  1. Praying David’s prayer. How incredible to be there with Moses, Joshua, and the people of Israel who were blessed by God’s presence. Indeed, we are blessed, the same; for His Presence is with us, when we are deeply connected to Him through prayer, silence in His Spirit, and being in the Word. “My Presence will go with you and give you rest” (31:14). How divine is that, fellow saints of the Lord?

For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.

  2. Thank You Lord for Your Word. Thank You for being “in our midst” as we meet together. How wonderful. Continuing in prayer for our blog family, especially those who have health challenges. We know You are the Great Physician, Creator, and our God. Guide, provide & bless each and every blogger and their families and friends. In Jesus Name. Amen

  3. Thank You, Lord, for Your Word, Your faithfulness, and Your presence in our lives. As David prayed, guide us in the ways You have ordained for us. Help us to meet the challenges with faith and trust in You. Help us, as Your people have done through the ages, faithfully make You and Your eternal Word known to others. In Jesus’s great name, amen

  4. The Lord loves obediience.
    ….Welcome home,Beverlee.

    Our Father

Oh God our Father you love us so,
We are blind and can not know
Just how great and kind you are,
Content to love us from afar.

    We turn our backs and still you care;
We close our eyes but you are there,
But it’s You we rely on
To lead us on back to Zion.

We hurt you daily by endless sin
But still your light guides us in.
You could not know how weak we are
So you sent us Jesus to bear our scars.

We are a mixture of sin and praise,
But still you lift our spirits to raise
The love that you see in us still,
A desire to follow your holy will.

    • Took me back to the August 27th post by HJR, Ger. Overwhelmed by all the saints’ prayer for each other. The one post was from Maria giving thanks for the healing of her cousin Eva’s cancer. Holding you up, today, and giving thanks for God’s healing touch upon her. Amen.

  5. Agreed with David’s prayer. I Appreciated David’s Personal Word’s.
Thanks Reynold for the photo of the Tabernacle of Moses with the sunburst over the mountains.

It’s beginning to feel like Fall in this neck of the woods.

God Bless you saints of God may your day be filled with His presents in all you do.

    • Here too, Irene. Love the cooler fall weather with leaves changing colour already. Just went out and closed my sunroof as we are expecting rain this evening. His blessings upon you.

  6. I felt I should share this:

I was wakened this morning with this song on my heart:

    “I STAND AMAZED”
    Verse 1
I stand amazed in the presence
    Of Jesus the Nazarene
And wonder how He could love me
    A sinner condemned unclean

    Chorus
    How marvelous how wonderful
And my song shall ever be
    How marvelous how wonderful
Is my Saviour’s love for me

    Chorus
    Verse 2
For me it was in the garden
He prayed not My will but Thine
He had no tears for His own griefs
But sweat drops of blood for mine

    Chorus
    Verse 3
    In pity angels beheld Him
And came from the world of light
To comfort Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night

    Chorus
    Verse 4
He took my sins and my sorrows
He made them His very own
He bore the burden to Calvary
    And suffered and died alone

    Chorus
    Verse 5
When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see
’twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me

    Chorus

    • Thank you for sharing this hymn Irene. Such beautiful and comforting words.
I have read all today’s comments. Thanking God for the answer to prayer for Eva’s healing of her cancer. Praying for that dear man in Fargo that he will be completely healed. Praying for those that are suffering pain and discomfort Ger, Beverlee and Doreen and others who are suffering in silence, we need to share one another’s burdens.

  7. Thank you Irene for that beautiful song. It is one of my husband’s favorites and I also appreciate it so much as it speaks of the wonderful love of Our Father for us.
I am so blessed to see how we pray for each other on this blog. Sharing each other’s burdens, as the Word commands us to do. Thankful for the testimonies of answered prayer.
Thank you Beverlee for doing the research and posting the article for us, regarding the attack on the young father in ND. Bless you!

    • Yes Luisa. I certainly have benefited from many prayers in this blog.
this is Friday morning and I am unable to post remarks on today’s blog.
Have a great day. Eleanor M.

  8. May God bless each of you and all His people today. Dear Lord, please wash us all clean, and help us to be cheerful givers, using all the gifts You have given us. Help all of Your people know the depth, the width and the height of the love You have for us, and live out of those resources, in Jesus’s great name, amen

  9. Praise report. My doctors office just called, my cat scan showed no thing wrong, was clear. Showed nothing for my weight loss.
    Praise God! Thank you Lord!

Maybe weight loss is a result of me giving away last summer all my too small clothes. Lol. Just kidding. Maybe I should give away my too big clothes. Lol

    God is so good.
    God bless you all.

  10. Glad to see your back Beverlee
Thanks to all those that have joined in prayer for Mike, in the Fargo hosptial.
I spoke with his Aunt yesterday, he is still responding with hand squeeze, (if you missed my previous post, his first hand squeeze was on his Mother’s 83rd birthday,) but has not opened his eyes or spoken but the Dr’s think he is improving but still has a long long way to go. Prayers also for his daughter who is mentally challenged.
I pray also for the young man that committed the crime. Hopefully he will also come to know the savior. It must be a very sad life to live as he is.
