Key Verse: Genesis 42:9
Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”
Years had passed since Joseph shared with his father and brothers his dream of being a ruler and of them bowing down to him. Joseph had gone through really rough times: the pit, slavery, false accusations, prison. But through it all, he never forgot the dream and he was confident that God had not forgotten either. The message to us is this…God has a plan for our lives. He has not forgotten you. Jeremiah wrote, “‘I know the thoughts I think toward you,’ says the Lord, ‘thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me, and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you'” (Jeremiah 29:11-12). Paul wrote, “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His PURPOSE” (Romans 8:28).
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Once again, Lord, I ask that I will think Your thoughts. I want only what You want. Therefore, please grant me the gift of Your chosen future for me and, like Joseph, for all my family too. I pray this in the Name of Jesus, the One who knew clearly His future and was obedient, even to the “point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8). Amen!
100 PERSONAL WORDS:
Like Jacob (Israel), I, too, love and desire the best for my children. You see the daily photos by my oldest son, David Reynold, and I want to commend my youngest son also. Ronald Wesley helps me daily with this blog by making sure the technical procedure of posting the blog is correct. I’m not really computer savvy.
Yours for God’s thoughts being our thoughts,
David
Agreeing with David’s prayer this morning. Also Jeremiah 39:11-12 and Romans 8:28 are favourite verses of mine.
Thank you Reynold for the beautiful pictures and thank you Ron and Ann for continuing this blog. God Bless the Mainse Fsmily and all blog friends. Eleanor M.
Sorry for the error Should be Jeremiah 29 not 39.
I often pray Jeremiah 29: 11-12 over my precious children and grand-children,
Good to see David does the same.
A good reminder that His word when proclaimed will not return unto Him void but will accomplish what I please. And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent. Isaiah 55:11
Lord God, please have mercy on us and this generation we live in. We so need You even though so many think they don’t…
Thank You for all the workers standing up for Truth and Biblical values. Please strengthen and provide for each one, and bring each into Your presence so they will know You and the plans You have for them.
Thank You for loving us, and through the good times and the bad times, help us to be faithful to You.
In Jesus’s most faithful name, amen
Agreeing with you in prayer Rob.
May our Lord’s Will be done in all our lives, in Jesus’ Holy Name
I pray, Amen.
Also agreeing with David’s prayer.
How wise Joseph was; even though he did put his brothers through some anxious times. Joseph could have been vengeful; but he said
what you meant for evil God meant it for good.
Amen Rob and Joy Longridge!
Amen, Rob!
Joseph’s forgiveness has spoken to me in a new way. I need to have this forgiveness of precious people around me. I love them but I need to stop dwelling on hurts and forgive and move on in joy. My life will be better now thank you. I also have to forgive myself as God has forgiven me. I will pray as never before for my loved ones. Thank you. I am a senior and know this story but the Scripture has a way of coming back to teach what we need.
