Located in Nazareth, the first century “Nazareth Village” re-enacts life from 2,000 years ago.

Key Verse: Matthew 12:35

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”

It was 4:00 a.m. and there it was…City of Toronto garbage truck #100 stopped on Jarvis Street picking up garbage. Just the morning before on the 100 Huntley Street TV show, we had suggested that everyone put the accumulation of their life’s “garbage” out at the curb and Jesus would take it away. Any evil things you treasure will eventually destroy you if you fail to get rid of them. As you join me daily in reading the Word, you’ll know what is evil and what is good. This blog is good treasure. Store up the good things consistently every day. You’ll bless others and yourself with good things!

Dear Jesus, forgive me for all the sin and wrong I’ve done. I put all these things out of my life. You promised to take away all my sin. Thank You! I treasure the good things You’ve given me. I will bring them out to bless others. Amen!

Before moving to Burlington, Ontario, our TV studios were located in downtown Toronto. Every morning at approximately 4:00 a.m., I would drive up Jarvis Street for my early morning time in God’s Word and in prayer. I had committed to spend at least an equal time in prayer and the Word as I would spend that day on live TV (90 minutes). During the drive, a huge billboard faced me with a picture of a scantily clad woman. I was angry. I wanted only to think of my beautiful wife. After a couple of days of putting those evil thoughts “out at the curb,” I would deliberately look to the other side of the street before that billboard appeared and would pray fervently for the people of the night, that our Nite-Lite show — on ’til 4:30 a.m. — would reach their hearts with the love of Jesus!

May God bless you with lots of GOOD today,

  1. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for loving us, and for all your people who teach us, encourage us, lead us. Bless all your workers today, please send out more, and help us to exalt You too. In Jesus’s great name, amen

  2. Repentance is what it’s all about.Walk in the light.I’m copying this directly from ma FB page of Nov.last year since I have to go now.Yall be blessed

    ‘” I was searching for the original as other more contemporary writers have added to this but this one looks like the original one stanza;I have prayed about this because (It was quoted in 100 Words today.) I felt it needed to be ‘finished’.The original stanza here is beautiful and I hope to add to it but doubt ‘I’ can do it justice.

    Lord, lay some soul upon my heart
    And love that soul thro’ me;
    And may I always do my part
    To win that soul for Thee. Ira D. Sankey

    I found others had added their words to it and one even found the original authour, Ira D. Sankey. The second line really grabbed my attention because it describes what it was like being led to sites I did not even know existed and then resisting a very strong urge to post poems there until that urge became (almost) a plea.I did not want to intrude on such private matters and I do not feel comfortable knowing other peoples’ business.
    “And love that soul thro’ me”…Nuff said

    Lay Some Soul Upon My Heart

    Lord, lay some soul upon my heart
    And love that soul thro’ me;
    And may I always do my part
    To win that soul for Thee. Ira D. Sankey

    Oh,Lord, may Your love fill my heart
    And wisdom be my guide,
    That you will tear my doubts apart
    And be close to my side.

    Lord, give me the words to convey
    The love You have for all,
    That they might share from day to day
    So more will hear your call.

    Lord, teach me and them to forget
    That all have lived with sin,
    For only then,with true regret
    Can repentance begin.

    I clearly didn’t do it justice but here it is anyway. “‘

    Lord Jesus I ask for your hand upon my family and me this day; keep us from the evil one; cover us with your feathers under the shadow of the Most High! Guide us on paths of righteousness for your Name’s sake, Amen and Amen!

    Thank you for the pleasant visit I had with my friend Flo today reminiscing about things in the past, the good and the not so good, bless her in all her ways and keep her in the palm of Your hand I pray, Lord!!

    Romans 8:38-39 blessed me during quite time this morning. Thank you Jesus, nothing can separate us from You!!

  4. In Jesus Name I rebuke all the evil that happened at the pool last night! I pray the Holy Spirit to enter JL’s and the lifeguards heart. only peace prevail, NO EVIL
    pray that the Lord will pick the right person to share my home with, someone who is working maybe as a cook so they would not need the use of the kitchen, just would appreciate a nice place to sleep, shower, has small tv. small fridge, quiet place, someone who perhaps is in touch with his children, pays his bills on time, appreciates a nice place to stay….I know that the Lord can help me with this situation, I would put the rent towards my loan, very happy to do this….so, I ask this in Jesus Name amen

    • Agreeing in prayer with you Sah…I pray for the Lord’s intervention on your behalf; thank you Jesus, Amen!!
