Key Verse: Numbers 3:12

Now behold, I Myself have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the children of Israel. Therefore the Levites shall be Mine.

Moses was a descendant of Levi, one of the sons of Jacob. Here, God commands Moses to separate the Levites from all of the other Children of Israel so they can be consecrated to Him for the service of the Tabernacle, and to represent God to the people and the people to God. God chose Moses when he was a tiny baby and gave him favour with Pharaoh’s daughter so that Moses was raised in the culture and learning of Egypt. God sent Moses into the wilderness for 40 more years of education and experience before he was ready to lead all the tribes out of Egypt.

In our key verse, God hints at His great plan of redemption. In this case, it is one Levite for each firstborn of all Israel; eventually, it was to be God’s Firstborn and only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, for all mankind.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Lord God, just as You organized the Children of Israel, organize me and my descendants so that we may fulfill Your purpose. Please continue to do this for every family who seeks to follow Your will for their lives. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen!

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

I believe God made a choice when my great-grandfather was converted in a Methodist revival. His Dad was a drunk who gambled away the farm and then disappeared from the scene, never to be found. The future of the Mainse side of my family was determined by an act of God in the salvation of Joseph Mainse. His sons, Allen, my grandfather, and Edward, my great-uncle, were known as great men of prayer. My Father, Roy, was called of God to preach and teach the Word of God. God separated me for His purpose. My children, Elaine and Bruce Stacey, Ellen and Nizar Shaheen, Reynold and Kathy Mainse, and Ron and Ann Mainse, all have the call of God on their lives.

Yours to emphasize that God is at work in your family too,

David

  1. Thank You God for directing Moses. Amen, David; great vlog, this morning. Praise God for your family history. Please pray for my family as my mom will be passing soon; praise God she believes in Jesus and will see His face. I will remain the only believer in a family of two siblings, one niece, five nephews and two great nephews. But I trust in God who has guided my way and am so thankful I am saved. I can’t imagine life without Jesus. Blessings fellow saints in the Lord.

We sang this last night at our Messianic Fellowship group; powerful song:

  2. Beverlee I will pray for you and your family and for you Donna. I have lost 5 friends since July and I
I found myself mourning the ones (who never accepted the Lord as far as we know). For the others we miss them, but it gives us peace and assurance when we know they are with The Lord. The last one passed away yesterday and she has requested no funeral. May The Lord Bless you and comfort you both, in the days that lie ahead.
Thank you Pastor David once again, for feeding us with manna from the word and for your inspiring comments.
    Love to all Eleanor Mc

    • Thank you sister Eleanor. God bless you; it is so hard losing so many loved ones all in a row as we get older, ourselves. The passing of time takes with it so very much.

  3. Thank you David for your encouragement for our families which is just what I was praying about this morning and have been for years that they would all come to faith in Jesus Christ which is well over 100 including all the great grandchildren and all the spouses. Praise God for your Christian heritage and pray all of your family will come to faith in Christ as well Beverlee. May you all be blessed.

  9. God bless the Mainse family!
we all have friends and family who do not know Jesus Christ as their Saviour, I pray for them and sometimes I do try and talk to them, I try and love them unconditionally, because God loved me in spite of my sinful actions and attitude! I knew Jesus as a child but as I grew up, I walked away, not on purpose, life just happened!
I had praying God parents and praying grandparents! I believe God heard their prayers!
God tells us He will never leave us nor forsake us! I have told people they have until the very last inth of their lives to make a decision to ask Jesus into their hearts! Sometimes that has worked, because there were people who noticed a difference and sometimes it does not work out! All anyone can do is pray for the people, I do tell people if God can come into my life, then He can enter anyone’s heart, you just have to ask Him to enter in!
Let’s pray for those who need to know Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour! I thank this prayer line for taking the message of the Gospel to the world! Same with the TV program, and there are other Christian programs on the TV also…..
Let us continue to pray for one another, to know that others are praying means alot to me….thank you Lord for this prayer line, for the message of Jesus Christ as our Risen Lord and Saviour, Our Provider, Our Healer, Our God! amen
