Key Verse: Exodus 15:20

Then Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

Remember Miriam? She was the one who 80 years before, as the older sister of Moses, watched over the little basket floating in the Nile. She arranged for Moses’ mother to care for the baby on behalf of the sister of Pharaoh who found the baby in the bulrushes. Now, about 90 years of age, she prophesies, puts those words to song, plays the timbrel, and leads the dance. Amazing! We need to celebrate too! God has fulfilled His purposes in the past; He is doing so right now; He will do so unfailingly in the future! He provides fresh water and promises, “I am the Lord who heals you!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Lord God, You are the great “I AM” who heals me. I rest on Your promise for physical healing. I celebrate Your deliverance from the slavery of sin. I praise and worship You for who You are. I sing to You, Lord, for You have triumphed gloriously! Amen!

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

It’s now 5:45 a.m. I’ve just spent five minutes looking for our timbrel (tambourine) which I know we have somewhere. Later, when Norma-Jean awakens, she’ll know where it is. I plan to play the timbrel and dance. I’ll ask her to play on the piano a dancing song that the Cameron Family from Scotland sang and danced to on the 100 Huntley Street TV show about 25 years ago. Right now I’ll contain my exuberance and finish this blog, getting it ready for posting at 100words.ca just for fresh manna and spring water for you.  Please keep rejoicing! My dance later won’t be as pretty as Miriam’s I’m sure, but Norma-Jean will laugh, and she might even dance with me.

Yours to celebrate with Miriam and you,

David

P.S. The latest family celebration, a cause for dancing, was the marriage of our grandson, Eric. Another cause for celebration was the touchdown of our grandson-in-law, David Lee, who plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders as a defensive end. His wife, our granddaughter Elizabeth, could teach us a little about celebrating!!! Her dad, my son Reynold, put together a Youtube video about it (click HERE). And CTV News Regina, Saskatchewan, did a TV report about it (click HERE – it will play after an advertisement).

  1. The Israelites had lots to sing and dance about when God defeated their enemy for them.
The pic of the dancers reminds me of Russian/Ukrainian dancing with the dress and stance.
May God smile upon us today and always.

  2. It was great to see you at the healing service Sunday night, David! Thank you for anointing and blessing me with what you said. It was wonderful to see the full chapel, hear Norma-Jean play the piano and sing and be prayed over by one of the elders there, and then your son, Ron! The Presence of God was there! Amen!

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Ephesians 53:4-5

  3. Time for celebration! Rejoice with you Mainse family on the wedding of Eric and Kara and David Lee’s touchdown! And I am rejoicing in this family, a new baby girl born, a niece called into ministry and also engaged to be married in October, and your prayers worked, Doreen and Irene and any one else who may have prayed. Thank you. The Lord gave me the gift of my nicest car yet; a cranberry red 2015 Hyundai Elantra. Amazing! Lord, I rejoice and thank you and dedicate this car to you to be used for your glory. Keep me protected in it as well. H symbol on it stands for Hallelujah and the red represents the covering of the blood of Jesus! God is good! God bless you saints!

    • Awesome, Ger! Amen, sister!! I emailed you but it bounced back. Maybe you still have my email address from last March.

  4. Congratulations! Praise God for the entire Mainse family!

Next up for David Lee and Saskatchewan are the BC Lions. As I’m a native of BC, you know who I’ll be rooting for.

From the west coast of this beautiful free country – may Christ Jesus continue to bless Canada and her friends! Have a great day for Christ brothers and sisters!

  5. I don’t blame you Rev. David for sharing those special features of your grandson David Lee and his wife, thank you.

As I sang those words of Miriam and read the scripture this morning; my prayer is: “O Lord God Almighty the God of Israel, once again be their refuge and defense and destroy the enemies who are trying to annihilate them. I pray for wisdom for the leaders of Israel: And for the truth to be revealed in the Middle East situation. I pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus Our Lord, Amen!!!

I rejoice with you and Norma-Jean in celebration.

  6. I have a request: “Would you please pray for my husband Harry, who will be having back surgery tomorrow”.
Thank you to one and all.

    • Lord, we lift up Harry before you and pray for your healing touch on him as he faces back surgery tomorrow. God, guide the hands of the surgeons who work on Harry’s back and bring peace to Wilma and her family that Harry is well taken care of. Heal him from his pain, dear Lord and keep him safe and well. In Jesus Name we pray, amen, amen, and amen.

  7. Dear Saints,

Just found out the sad news that my cousin, Bobby, who we have been praying for, passed early this morning from his battle with cancer. Thank you for holding up his family as they face the funeral and days ahead without him. I am so thankful we were in close touch these past few months and that he re-connected with God. Know that he was moved by our prayers for him.

Safe in the arms of Jesus. Safe on His gentle breast. Sweetly thou shalt rest.

  8. Agreeing in prayer for Wilma’s husband Harry and the family of Bobby, your cousin Beverlee. Glad he made that connection with the Lord. Beverlee, I changed computers and hope to get connected to Outlook Express today.
