Here are some of the beautiful mosaics inside the Church of Transfiguration on Mount Tabor. This church is located in Lower Galilee, Israel, at the eastern end of the Jezreel Valley, 11 miles (18 km) west of the Sea of Galilee. It is believed by many Christians to be the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. It is also known as the Mount of Transfiguration.

Key Verses: Psalm 100:4-5

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,

And into His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

For the Lord is good;

His mercy is everlasting,

And His truth endures to all generations.

Psalm 98 is another “NEW” song! The word “NEW” is one of the most powerful words in the English language. We are attracted by that which is “NEW!” What “NEW” insights, “marvelous things” has God done? Our response to Him should be exuberant praise!

Psalm 99 takes us to a most serious consideration. God’s “Justice,” “Equity,” “Righteousness,” and the fact that “He is holy” should cause us to “Exalt the Lord our God.” He answered the prayers of Moses, Aaron and Samuel and forgave their sins, but they still suffered the consequences of their sins. What can we learn from their mistakes? Check out Numbers 20:7-13 and 1 Samuel 8:1-5.

Psalm 100 gives us reasons why we should “Make a joyful shout to the Lord!” (1) “The Lord is good.” (2) “His mercy is everlasting.” (3) “His truth endures to all generations.” This includes the generations alive here in the 21st century! Our key verses sum up why we have every reason to be excited about the Lord and why we must not keep this good news to ourselves. We must find and support every effort to reach “the ends of the earth” with our message that “The Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Lord God, I have received a new understanding of Your mercy and faithfulness. How can I do less than give You all of me? I do enter Your “gates with thanksgiving.” I come into Your “courts with praise.” I pray for Your continuing grace to worship and serve You as I should. I pray in the Name of the One who always pleased You, the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!!!

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

I believe we were in the perfect will of God when Crossroads moved in 1977 from the weekly telecasts, called Crossroads and Circle Square for children, to the daily 100 Huntley Street telecast, originating from a building in downtown Toronto with that address. On the very first program, as well as subsequent live daily telecasts, I proclaimed that Psalm 100 was our official ministry Psalm. In the light of this fact, I encourage the hosts and producers of the variety of our present television and internet productions to use Psalm 100 as a template in order to make sure we are continuing the original purpose of God for the ministry, which is officially incorporated by the governments of Canada and the United States as “Crossroads Christian Communications Inc.”

I wrote the story of how the number “100” impacted my life in my latest book published in June, “This Far by Faith,” on pages 135-137. On several occasions, when decisions were required, this number played an important role in God’s directions for me and for the Crossroads ministry. I’d be delighted to arrange for my book to be in the hands of many more. The toll free number to call is 1-800-265-3100. A donation to help cover costs and support the ministry would be appreciated. The current book offer, “What Are You Afraid Of?” can also be ordered.

Yours so that we may together “SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS!”

David

  1. If my math is correct, 2077 will be the 100th anniversary of 100 Huntley Street. That is only 64 years, and though many of us will probably not be here physically to celebrate, there’s no doubt in my mind it will happen!! It is interesting to imagine the greater scope and ease of communication it will be, to share the gospel message and meet the needs of the generation. Here we are today at a pivoting point in technology and mass communication. Today’s photo of the phones and studio are quite a contrast from today. Psalm 100 tells it all! If it were not for our Lord, it would not be. Have a great day, to all!

  2. We will enter into his gates with thanksgiving in our hearts
    And into his courts with praise
    We will say this is the day the Lord has made
    Let us rejoice and be glad
    For He has done great things
    Throughout all generations
    Praise His Holy Name
    We praise you Jesus
    And God our father
    Amen Amen !!

  3. We truly enjoy and look forward to your blog , but we did not receive October 20 and 21 —. We have watched 100Huntley street and been blessed by it , since the beginning

  4. Rejoice with you about what God has done, David. Especially like your prayer today and say, Amen. I woke up singing, “I stand, I stand in awe of You…” in my spirit. Say Amen to your prayer, Beverlee for Irene and husband Merv. Glad I’ve had the opportunity to visit both of the 100St. buildings. Another beautiful day in N.B. Have a good one.

    • Amen, Ger, praying for Irene’s sister Ollie, and Ollie’s husband, Merv. God bless you on this beautiful day, sister Ger!

      • I join in prayer with you Ger and Beverlee for Irene’s sister, Ollie and her husband Merv, and many others who are grieving or suffering with various ailments. Our God is Able and as He hears our prayers, He will answer in His perfect timing. Blessings to you dear sisters.

  5. Thank you for the great message by your grandson Jason Patterson, yesterday.
    Beautiful family picture!
    May the Lord bless their ministry.

  6. Psalm 99 was so powerful to me. Praising to You, Lord, for Your Holiness.

    The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!
    He dwells between the cherubim; let the earth be moved!
    The Lord is great in Zion, and He is high above all the peoples.
    Let them praise Your great and awesome name–He is holy.

    The King’s strength also loves justice; you have established equity;
    You have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
    Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool–He is holy.

    Moses and Aaron were among His priests,
    And Samuel was among those who called upon His name;
    They called upon the Lord, and He answered them.
    He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar;
    They kept His testimonies and the ordinance He gave them.

    You answered them, O Lord our God;
    You were to them God-Who-Forgives,
    Though You took vengeance on their deeds.
    Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His holy hill;
    For the Lord our God is holy.

    We exalt You, Lord our God, and worship You, everywhere! For You, indeed, are holy, holy, holy! We praise You and thank You for Your mercy. All for Your glory!

    Wishing blessings to all saints, from north to south, east to west; within your homes, or on the streets; whoever you are and wherever you may be; whatever your desires, struggles, circumstance or needs–bow down on bended knee, pray to the Lord; put your request forward and give thanks for His love and the gift of life. The closer we come to knowing Jesus and spending time in His word, the more we feel His presence in our lives, are comforted by His grace, and filled with His love.

  7. To pray to God with truth for help to love Him with all your heart is very bold to do for all to see. I know that you strive for this and have strived for it for a lot of your life. I am recently less hot as the fear of God had cooled. Still, the ways of the world have become more and more obviously damned. Reading your prayer may help me to also begin to make that fire that Moses saw stonger again in me.

  8. Oh how I love the Psalms. Lifting hands high to Our Glorious Most High God who alone is worthy of Praise. His faithfulness never ends and His grace, mercy and love is powerful to behold and feel.

    Blessings to all today.

  9. The Lord’s mercy endures forever, Amen! Thank you Lord for adopting me into your family. I declare you are my Lord and Savior, it’s because of your shed blood and resurrection that I have everlasting life. I confess with my mouth you are my King!

  10. Thank you all who have responded to my request for prayer for my sister Ollie and her husband Merv (who has Alzeimers). Especially that their broken hearts would be healed as they deal with their circumstances.

  11. Wow I have really missed every one , and this wonderful blog. I was off line for a bit then I whent to Toronto to see Pastor John Hagee, it was a two day praise and worship event we enjoyed very much. I had to laugh ….Old things pass away and
    all things become new Amen !
    The old me would never have said this …but…
    Last week I was as excited to go to worship the lord with John Hagee ministries as I once was to go to see David Bowie back in the 1970’s. LoL . I love my knew life in Christ Jesus. 🙂 Thank you Lord for lifting me out of the bondage of sin.

    Pastor Hagee explained how Gods perfect number is seven …….so the 100th
    Aniversary year 2077 is no coincidense.
    Love and prayers to all
    M.
