Key Verses – Joshua 18:1, 3
The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of meeting there…Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?”
Just imagine the excitement in the air as all the tribes came together. Think about thousands of animated conversations. Perhaps some said, “If only our parents were here to see this, but they refused to believe that this could happen. They refused to follow the leadership of Moses, Joshua and Caleb. We could’ve been born here in the Promised Land, instead of in the wilderness. Instead of just getting our borders settled, we would’ve been well established for 45 years already. Here we are, gathered around the Tabernacle as we did when we were children on the other side of the Jordan. But listen, Joshua is going to bring us a message from God. It sounds the same as we remember Moses saying to us before we crossed the Jordan. What’s wrong with us? Can we not learn to obey God fully?”
We may want to read, Hebrews 2:1-4 where the word “neglect” shows up again relating to our salvation. Also, “let us not neglect” is found in Hebrews 10:23-25. To neglect the ministry which happens when we assemble together is to court spiritual decline and to miss the essential message God wants us to hear from those He has called into leadership.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Lord God, God of our fathers, I believe that I need to possess all that You have given me. Grant me the grace, the determination to go forward, not stopping short of all You have for me. Give me a greater fervency of spirit, because I know that You respond directly in proportion to the level of my fervency. In Jesus’ strong Name I pray. Amen!
100 PERSONAL WORDS:
Thank you to all who read God’s Word with me each day. I have a question for you. Do you know anyone who started well on January 1st in a one year through-the-Bible reading program, but may have already missed some days, or has reverted to opening their Bible anywhere to read in a hit-and-miss fashion? Ask around amongst your friends. You may be surprised at the numbers to whom this happens. Let’s try to do this in a non-judgmental way. Now….I have a suggestion. Invite those who have struggled with the one year commitment to check out 100words.ca and see the difference it makes when the readings are shorter (more time for meditation and prayer) and when we move back and forth between the New and the Old Testaments over 730 days. The two-year program works! Crossroads has proven this in magazines and books since the 1970s and now in this daily blog. Readers could join us today and in 104 weeks complete God’s Book with joy, much fresh understanding, and growth in spiritual maturity!
Yours for God’s work in us to continue without neglect,
David
Dear Lord God, on this new day, help all Your followers keep on with You. Bless all Your workers with every bit of all they need to work for You, stronger and more effectively than ever before. Fill all Your children with gratitude for all You are, in Jesus’s great name, amen
Lord give me fresh revelation of who I am in you. Walking in tbr gifts you have provided to understand my purpose and destiny. For these amazing times. In Jesus name I pray amen.
For What I Owed
Father,in my heart I feel your touch,
So let me place a smile upon your face,
For I know that it’s not much,
In return for Your loving grace.
You’ve always walked silently by me,
I thought always that I must be alone,
For unanswered went my plea
Till you removed my anchor stone.
Then one day as I searched you found me
And new light entered in my lonely heart,
Where for years I was not free
Until you tore my chains apart.
Now I have a debt that’s never owed,
And a payment that can never be paid,
But in my heart Your love showed
There was no debt to be made.

This is another message very relevant here:”The Ages Through” might be a better title?May God bless
The Kingdom Is Ours
Oh,Lord, though we have sinned against You
And have done evil in your sight,
You still love us the ages through,
Withholding from us Your just might.
To each of us You have been a Friend,
Your guidance led those who would hear
And shown Your mercy has no end;
As we repent, you draw us near.
Lord, restore to us a right spirit,
For You have washed away our sin
And we know we’re not to fear it
When evil seeks to come within.
Oh,my Savior,You are always true
And we want to walk in Your light
But there is one who will undo
And e’er seeks to bind us in fright.
Oh Lord,we know Your word is our shield
But relentless thoughts from the snake,
Seek to steal what we must not yield,
For the kingdom is ours to take. Amen

So happy to see William & others comments again. Blessings. Today’s reading was a bit tedious but I wanted to know more about the Lost Tribe of the Manasseh. I did a Google search and found some very interesting information. Very interesting! They are (& have been) returning to Israel! Blessings all.
Amen
I agree Doreen, this Bible study helps me so much in understanding what is going on in our world today.
Thank you William for your beautiful poetry.
God Bless all who may be reading this Blog, commenting, praying or posting their heart-felt poetry…..May His daily Manna continue to feed us all. May we go forward in You, in Your strength, for Your Glory.
Praying also for all who are unwell and/or recovering from Surgeries, or dearly beloved’s deaths.
Praying for the tremendous grief that Nephew and Wife are feeling today….Mother used the MAID program yesterday morning.
Sorry to hear that Laur. There is a church near me that is having a full day of speakers on the subject of MAID. It must be a difficult memory to live with. May God minister to her family, in Jesus Name. Amen
Suffering physically can be unbearable- for those watching and grieving and for those whose body is being ravaged with pain.
The formalized- MAID Program- seems to be offering hope to those who feel hopeless.
(Should have written-‘their’ Mother)

In June last year I completed my first time through the 2-year 100 Words blog. I was so happy that I kept through to the end. I told myself that I wanted to start over again, and I did. Somewhere in the fall I started to miss a lot of days, but I’m happy to say that I have begun again. I am catching up with my missed days and realize I really missed the blog, and reading the comments. Those of you who who comment, I feel like I know you, and it is a treat to read your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all. Praise the Lord for He is good, His mercy endures forever.
Laur – my heartfelt sympathies for your nephew and wife. My own mother was considering MAID when she was in great pain after a fall. She is a believer and when she had medication that eased her pain she was shocked that she had comtemplated MAID. She lived another year and a half in some pain but was thankful every day. That time period that she was asking for MAID was terrible for me to experience. Mom passed away in her sleep at the age of 96. Thank You Lord.
I am truly thankful for your Mom and all that transpired….
Your story is a wonderful testimony.
Thank you Laur
Wowwee, so joyful to see all the comments today. God is good:-)!
Found this lovely hymn on YouTube:

This song is wonderful. Thank you Lynda. There is no God like Jehovah!
Great Song🥰
I am praying along with the above prayers. May Nephew and his Wife find comfort and peace.
Marilyn, I was happy to read a couple of days ago, that you’re making good progress. Thank the Lord!
May God help us to be committed to reading His Word daily and living according to His truths. May we be “fervent” in our prayers and zeal to do His Will. David mentioned in his prayer that God responds “directly in proportion to the level of our fervency”.
Blessings to all of you!
Amen to your thoughts and prayers.
Praise God 👍
My heartfelt prayers for the family that just experienced MAid in their family.
I pray continuously for a government that will reverse some of the present laws that are so un-biblical. I feel they are intent on reducing our population, through MAid, abortion, unproven vaccines, etc. etc. We are living in very unsettling times and I don’t know how those trying to get through without God can do it. He is our Rock.
God bless each and everyone and may he keep you in his arms.
I second Wendy’s comments in that I feel community with all of you following this blog! Thank you Lord for the Maine’s family and all who help with the blog, and for all of the bloggers who comment, share prayers, prayer requests, praise items, links to wonderful worship songs, and links to news items not on mainstream. I pray for God’s blessings over all of you Saints, your loved ones. Bring the prodigals back to you Lord. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Portland, Ontario
God Bless You All!!!
I read and pray with you every day.
