The Temple of Edfu is an ancient Egyptian temple located on the west bank of the Nile in the city of Edfu. It is the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak and one of the best preserved. The temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, was built in the Ptolemaic period between 237 and 57 BC. The god of this world, Lucifer, has sought worship for himself ever since the war in Heaven and his defeat there.

Key Verse: Genesis 42:9

Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

Years had passed since Joseph shared with his father and brothers his dream of being a ruler and of them bowing down to him. Joseph had gone through really rough times: the pit, slavery, false accusations, prison. But through it all, he never forgot the dream and he was confident that God had not forgotten either. The message to us is this – God has a plan for our lives. He has not forgotten you. Jeremiah wrote, “‘I know the thoughts I think toward you,’ says the Lord, ‘thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me, and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you'” (Jeremiah 29:11-12). Paul wrote, “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His PURPOSE” (Romans 8:28).

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Once again, Lord, I ask that I will think Your thoughts. I want only what You want. Therefore, please grant me the gift of Your chosen future for me and, like Joseph, for all my family too. I pray this in the Name of Jesus, the One who knew clearly His future and was obedient, even to the “point of death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8). Amen!

100 PERSONAL WORDS:

Like Jacob (Israel), I, too, love and desire the best for my children. You see the daily photos by my oldest son, David Reynold, and I want to commend my youngest son also. Ronald Wesley helps me daily with this blog by making sure the technical procedure of posting the blog is correct. I’m not really computer savvy. Ron is a host of the 100 Huntley Street daily telecast which goes live to air at 9:30 a.m. Monday to Friday, Toronto and New York time. Ron serves as the “Chief Ministry Officer” for the ministry of Crossroads Christian Communications Inc., and also of the TV network, Crossroads Television System. 1. Even though we go through trials Our God knows the beginning and the end and He holds us all the way through
When I think im going under
    part the waters Lord
When I feel yhe waves around me
    Calm the sea
    when I cry for Help
    Oh hear me Lord
    And hold out your hand
    Touch my life
And still the raging storm in me
    knowing You love me
    I can face another day

praise God He never fails to guide us Amen
God Bless All My Fellow Bloggers

  2. Thank you Lord Jesus for watching over your children. All things work to glorify the Holy Trinity.

Thanks for your prayers as I climbed that mountain. Again, I was alone with my Lord and nature as only He can provide. There is still some steep snow patches that needed to be traversed, even this time of year… I’m getting older and a little slower, but knew you would be praying for a safe and wonderful day with my Lord… It truly was…

Have a great day for our Lord fellow bloggers… Amen!

    • We shared a similar experience yesterday. My step-daughter was married on a mountain in a meadow. Parents of the bride and groom were flown to the top of Mount Charles Stewart and vows were exchanged. It was a glorious church in nature and Our Lords presence could be felt by all! Blessings to all!

      • Praise God! …and congratulations. We’re off to a wedding this afternoon. Our nephew is getting married…

In my early 20s, I saw your experience yesterday take place on Mt. Cheam in Chilliwack, BC. I and others were hiking when we saw people being flown in by helicopter…

  3. How awesome is that;Joseph in a position of authority over his brothers who treated him so badly in the past. God surely knew this would come to pass. Those who are last will be first and those who are first will be last.
    God bless Israel.
    Blessings on all fellow saints.

  4. Found the entries the last two days very heart searching. Yours, David and Beverlee’s post yesterday. Have a sister in St. John who is now giving up her home and moving into an apartment and I want to get rid of more as well, but not yet ready to move into an apartment but looking after a home is increasingly more challenging. Thank you for your encouraging message today, David. God bless you all!

  5. Pastor David your pray today expresses exactly the way I feel. Ger it is interesting that within the next year or so my husband and I would like to move into a apartment or condo. I am asking The Lord to guide us in making the right decision. After living in the same house for 45 years we have accumulated a lot of stuff, so we are trying to get rid of some of it.

  6. Thank you, David, for including George Bev. Shea singing in this
100 Words. I listened to more of his at the end. His sincerity has
    always touched me deeply.
I have been able to follow your daily 100 Words this time and am
writing in a journal most days as well. Thank you for this opportunity.
    Sincerely,
    Diane
