So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Lord Jesus, I pray for Your consistency to be strong in me. This is a two-year journey which may well be the most important two years of my life. I’m counting on Your indwelling Presence to keep me true. In Your all-powerful Name, JESUS, Amen!!!

In today’s reading I noticed that Jonah was from Gath Hepher. This is not the “Gath” of the Philistines, from which Goliath came. This place is located between Cana of Galilee and Nazareth. It’s now called Mishad. This is the village which figures prominently in the conversion of my Arab son-in-law. I’ll try to remember to tell the story tomorrow, God willing, of how God saved Nizar’s life in the ancestral hometown of Jonah.

I always wondered what was meant in the bible when it was stated “are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?.”
So after looking further into that statement/question I found this explanation:
“The book is referred to a number of times in the Hebrew Bible, but was either not included in the corpus of the biblical text or was removed from it at some stage. … This text is sometimes called The Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel or The Book of the Annals of the Kings of Israel.”
Don’t know what I’d do w/o Google. It’s my best friend, after Jesus:-)!

Well I couldn’t go to church today. I felt too exhausted to drive safely. I did, however, watch some amazing church programs on tv which were very enlightening. Sometimes I burn the candle @ both ends (rarely) but some rest is the treatment. Have a great day – looking beautiful outside here in Hamilton.
I was thankful that I could do a few things outside yesterday; went swimming; Lord You know the situation with the lifeguards; help the one that is in trouble, make sure this life guard gets the right help; those who were affected may they also get counselling;
Lord I also am going around in circles; I don`t know what to do Lord! You know my sleep pattern; You know what is going on; Lord I have asked before and I am asking again; if there is a person who needs a place to stay and they would be a good match for me, then Lord, send them across my path; BUT Lord I need to know that this is from You; again, I rebuke the devil and I plead the Blood of the Lamb over my home,car,family,neighbours, community,country, Yes Lord we are thankful for Christian leaders, be with me when I speak to my neighbours, help me to be kind and understanding; Lord I do not want any problems; I like to keep my place looking nice, I have beautiful flowers, TY Lord; bless the people who vacation in my area; may they have a good time,may they be safe; TY Lord in Jesus Name we Pray amen
