Key Verse: 1 Kings 6:12
Concerning this temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you, which I spoke to your father David.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Lord God, I pray for greater growth in the Fruit of the Spirit. Patience, and all the other flavours of the Fruit of the Spirit is absolutely essential. Therefore, I’m waiting on Your timing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
100 PERSONAL WORDS:
Back in 1972 we produced and released something called “The Grey Cup Christian Celebration.” Our Crossroads offices were in Hamilton, and the Grey Cup Championship of the Canadian Football League was to be in our home stadium. I became convinced we needed to use the occasion for a testimony for Christ. On the Saturday before the game, we did two services in the McMaster gymnasium-auditorium complex. We brought in big name football players from the NFL, as well as Canadian football stars. Dale Evans was there. Art Linkletter was there. The Imperials sang. Astronaut Jim Irwin, who was just back from the moon, was also there. All testified to their faith in Christ. Prime time television was purchased all across Canada for the one-hour TV special. It was a first for Canadian TV. Everything was going very well until it came time to pay the bills. The bank loaned us the money we needed, but then came the payments to the bank. I wrote out one of God’s promises in large handwriting and placed the paper in my middle desk drawer on top of everything else. Every day (sometimes several times) I would open the drawer and read, “MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS” (Philippians 4:19). It took two years to pay off the debt. In God’s time it was accomplished. I was learning lessons that would be a big help to my faith in the years to come.
Yours for God’s timing,
David
How prophetic is today’s scripture reading and message!! Solomon and David are both testaments to the faith God develops in us when we hear his voice, follow and let him work through us. We need to believe!! Amen? Wishing all saints a blessed day as we come to worship our King, together.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Urgent need exists for people along the Ottawa River which is in a never before flood level. Some senors are in very stressful situations. Army is trying to help – but don’t seem to have sufficient resources to meet this immense need. Please pray for these poor people, many of them seniors. THANKS!!!
Agreeing in prayer with Nan and Bruce, for those in need, particularly the seniors, along the Ottawa River, affected by the flood waters. Lord God, our Heavenly King, bring the flood waters to a lull and have it decease. Protect the people and their homes and vehicles and possessions from damage. Keep everyone safe, Lord. Give them the assistance they need to weather through this storm. In Jesus’ precious Name, we pray. Amen, amen, and amen.
Thank you Bruce for bringing this prayer request to our attention. We often read/watch the news but fail to react accordingly with prayer requests.
Lord Jesus I pray for Your Intervention for the blood waters to subside; and for help and protection to be available for those in need; Lord provide for all concerned according to our Highest and Best to be done! Amen Jesus, pray this in Your Mighty
Holy Name!!
sorry, that should say “flood waters to subside”:
I just prayed for these people and for the flood waters to start receding. I prayed for everyone to have their needs met, whatever they may be.
Thank you Bruce for bringing this to our attention.
today’s scripture affirms God’s love and faithfulness! Praise His Holy Name!!
Gave that prayer request out in church last night and prayed for them there. Lord we pray for all the flood waters in Ontario, Quebec and new Brunswick to subside and help all involved including the army to deal successfully with all the flooding, keeping everyone safe, protecting homes and property and remembering all the seniors involved. In Jesus Name. Amen!
